I need input here, I just started a new job as manager of the database. a company whose database is very large and has many hands on them with zero consistency. This will clean a tremendous job. I was told that my work is cleaning the database, but I have the power to change things are done. Therefore, stood one of the problems, as things, why the data are unreliable. I informed the board of the situation, his reaction was, are the things in the work done, so it does not fix anything that is not broken.

I can not help that I need a job in this economic and IT jobs are hard to find. Suggestions on how to handle this situation?

I wish no offense by this, and I apologize if I'm wrong ... but sounds like you are relatively new in the professional world, am I right?
